Vinayakudu is a Telugu movie starring Krishnudu and Sonia in lead roles. It was a different love story between a beautiful girl and fatty boy. Sai Kumar Adavi who has worked as assistant director to Shekhar Kammula for the movies like Godavari and Happy Days, has directed this film.
Karthik (Krishnudu) is a fatty guy comes to city from village for job. With help of his friend he gets job in a corporate company. There he meets Kalpana (Sonia) a beautiful arrogant girl who is team lead for Karthik. Karthik falls to Kalpana in first look only.
But Kalpana hates him because of his fat body. But later Karthik impresses Kalpana with his honest and caring nature. She feels him as friend first later realises she is in love with him.
Director has followed Shekhar Kammula‘s style only. This movie targeted only college students and city audience. It has reached that particular section audience well and became a good success. No one expected a hit from this movie at the time of making.
Poonam Kaur, Satya Krishnan are the other lead cast. Ankita has appeared in a small character.
