Kithakithalu was a super duper hit movie in 2006 Summer. It was an out and out comedy movie with good message. E.V.V.Satya Narayana has directed this movie. Allari Naresh the son of E.V.V.Satya Narayana has played the lead role. Geeta Singh was female lead.
Due to the major releases of Big Stars like Bangaram (2006) of Pawan Kalyan and Pokiri of Mahesh Babu, no one expected that, this small budget venture wins the Box Office. But to the surprise of every one it became a super hit and completed 100 days in 9 theaters.
Almost all the comedians in Tollywood were appeared in this film. Naresh’s golden time has started with this movie only. After this movie only he has started gaining good fame in the Tollywood circles.
A Film By Aravind was a Horror movie in Tollywood. Shekhar Suri who has directed utter flop Tarun and Reema Sen starred Adhrushtam has directed this flick also. It revolves around a psycho who kills the men on highways. Until the end director not reveals the killer, it helped to maintain the suspense and also to scare the audience.
Movie starts on highway, two friends are traveling on a highway in mid night. One among them sleeps, and the second one lack of company feels a bit sleepy. Their car meets with a small accident. Both friends comes out of the car an stands on road for lift. One among them goes a bit side, when he arrives to the road, he notices some blood but not his friend. Later finds the dead body, some body kills the second person also.
Then the movie shift to Hyderabad. Rajiv (Rajiv Kanakala) and Rishi (Rishi) are best friends. Rajiv is a film director and Rishi is a hero. Both of them delivered two super hits. For their third movie, they gives an ad for the stories. Rajiv reads a story and impressed with that story, but it is not a full story.
He asks his assistant to catch the writer and goes to their form house. On the way to their form house, every thing happens according the script which Aravind saw. As per the script they meets a beautiful girl (Sherlyn Chopra). She also behaves as per the script. Rajiv suspects that, she is the psycho killer.
Is she really the psycho killer ? How these two guys protected themselves from the danger is the rest of story. String tight screenplay and perfect art work made it super duper hit.
Later Shekkhar Suri made another horror movie called Three (2008) with the same team, but failed to impress audience.
Thotti Gang was a super hit movie in Tollywood in 2002 summer. This comedy movie well entertained the audience in that summer with hilarious comedy and tight screenplay. E.V.V.Satyanarayana has directed this movie.
Before this movie he was in flops and lost his craze. The lead cast of the movie are Sunil, Prabhu Deva and Allari Naresh . This three guys also failed to attract the audience pre-release. But mouth talk after the release, made it a super duper hit and became one of the highest grosser for that year.
Story revolves around three guys who are poor in study and does many jobs like catching dogs , as musicians in marriages to full fill their expenses. Among them one guy is deep love with his childhood friend Venkata Lakshmi. While he is searching for her, Malleshwari (Gajala) another childhood friend meets him.
Both of them are in deep love now, mean while Venkata Lakshmi (Anita aka Nataasha) enters into the scene. Whom he opts among them and how he convinces other girl is the remaining story.
Climax of this movie is really pretty good and gave sufficient laughs.
Vennela is a Telugu movie released in 2005. NRI a guy Deva Katta has directed this movie. Most of the movie moves in USA only. Because lack of proper star cast movie failed to attract the audience in first weak.
But the mouth talk gave life to this moviw and made it a decent hit. Raja, Sharvanad and Parvati Melton were appeared in lead roles.
Naveen (Raja) is an young guy completed his Engineering goes to USA to do hi MBA. There he meets an Indian girl called Pavani (Parvathi Melton) who is also going MBA. Naveen falls in love with Pavani, but surprises when he comes to know about her past life.
What are the problems Pavani has and how Naveen solved those is the main story.
Story line is a bit regular but director has given fresh look by adding fresh comedy. Songs was well shot in beautiful American locations. This is the first movie to Parvathi Melton made her famous in Andhra Pradesh.
Chirunavvutho was a Telugu movie in 2001. This movie was directed by Vijay Bhaskar. This movie was a fabulous hit not because of hero not because director. Only writer Trivikram Srinivas is the man behind the movie success.
He has penned good story line with perfect script. Punch dialogues which comes only from his pen are the added advantage. Hero Venu Thottempudi has acted according to the story lines and Trivikram’s dialogues.
Ace comedian Sunil has attracted the audience notice with this movie only. Prakash Raj has appeared in one his best. Prema played a key role.
Movie came with low profile. Audio was also not a big success. Only hopes because same team worked for the movie Swayamvaram which was super duper hit in 1999. but movie has bagged huge success.
Chitram was a movie in Tollywood in 2000. Teja who has worked with Ram Gopal Varma as camera man entered into Tollywood with this movie. He has also introduced many young talents like Uday Kiran and Reema Sen to Telugu industry.
He made this movie with 40 lakhs budget. Which was surprise to audience and movie makers. This movie hasn’t attracted any one at the stage of production, because of new cast and new director and Usha Kiran Movies banner which has no hits before this movie from long time.
But final output of this movie attracted all the people and became huge hit. Teja’s screen play magic is the main reason behind the success. After Teja the credit goes to R.P.Patnaik who has composed different music. Reema Sen became a big star after this movie. Uday Kiran waited for break until Nuvvu Nenu which was also directed by Teja..
Dhee is a comedy movie from Sreenu Vytla. Vishnu and Genelia were played the lead roles. Srihari has appeared in another key role. This movie was in production more than 3 years. Due to many reasons, movie got postponed many times. Vishnu has delivered many utter flops before this film. Director Sreenu Vytla was also in bad phase by that time.
Due to the all above reasons, no more expectations are hopes were there on this film. But after the release positive talk and good reviews made it a super hit.
Babloo (Vishnu) is an intelligent guy , his job is always enjoying along with friends and fighting with others. To avoid all these activities, his father joins him in work at Shankar Goud (Sri Hari). Shankar Goud’s rival Bhallu (Supreet) who lost his son because of Shankar Goud appoints his men to kills Shankar Goud’s sister Pooja (Genelia).
Babloo falls to Pooja in first look only. How Babloo impressed Pooja and Protected her from Bhallu is the remaining story.
Director has filled the entire movie with laughs. Brahmanandam has played one of the best role in his career.
Jayam was a movie from Teja. He has introduced two new faces Nitin and Sadha to Tollywood with this romantic love story. This movie released along with Chiranjeevi’s Indra which was record breaking hit at that time. Every ones eyes was on Chiru’s movie only.
But surprisingly Jayam bagged a huge success and bagged profits almost equal to Indra. Teja became a star director but later he failed to deliver any other hits.
Venkat (Nitin) is a poor college going guy. He does lots of works to for family expenses in free time. Sujaatha (Sadha) is a girl whose father fixed her marriage with her relative Raghu (Gopichand) in her childhood only.
But in college Sujaatha falls in love with Venkat. Raghu and Sujaatha’s father notices this and separates them. How the young couple united is the remaining story.

Athanokkade was the movie in 2005. Kalyanram and Sindhu Tulani were paired opposite each other. Surender Reddy made his debut as director with this movie. Its a movie which has all the elements like good friendship, love family drama and crime elements.
Ram (Kalyan Ram) is an easy going lucky guy. He comes to Hyderbad to cmplete his studies from Delhi. On the other hand Anjali (Sindu Tulani)lives along with her uncle (Surya). Anjali and her uncle kills a police officer. Their target is killing the members in Anna (Ashish Vidhyarthi)’s gang along with Anna.
Anjali and Ram meets in college and with in short period they becomes very thick friends. Anajali falls in love with Ram when he protects her from goons.
But she hides about her love because of the crimes which she did.
Ram starts killing the people in Anna’s gang whom Anajali has targeted. What is the relation between Ram and Anajali and why they are doing the murders is the remaining story.
Extraordinary action sequences in time twists and perfect screenplay made it ma super duper hit.Mani Sharma’s music and back ground score was pretty good and Venu Madhav’s comedy track entertained well.
Lahiri Lahiri Lahiri Lo was a Telugu movie released in 2002. It was in production in more than two years. Director Y.V.S Chowdary has opted actors who has no craze and a new couple. Many distributors has not shown interest on the movie.
But director has confidence on his movie and released it him self after facing many hurdles. Final result was one of the biggest hit for that year.
Hari Krishna has bagged very good following. Banu Priya paired opposite him. Suman and Vineet played other lead roles. Ankita entered into Tollywood with this movie.
Its a clean entertainer with village back drop. It shows the rivalry of a woman on a family because of her love failure. Lakshmi has played that role as intelligent woman who is trying to take revenge.
